Veterans Affairs

As a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I understand the commitment and sacrifice that our brave men and women of the armed forces have given to our country.  We as a nation should do all we can to repay our veterans by improving their access to health care and ensuring that our veterans have the quality of life they deserve. As your representative, I am committed to working hard for the veterans in the 25th district.

It is important that we improve the quality of care we provide to our veterans; they deserve more options and shorter wait times when it comes to their healthcare service. Additionally, we must improve measures to ensure our veterans get the skills and connections they need in order to secure successful civilian careers once their military service is over.

In our district, we've implemented the "Convenient Care Initiative," a first-of-its-kind program in which veterans can access local clinics for a wide range of services, rather than having to drive all the way down to the West LA VA center. This program is unlike anything else in the country and will dramatically improve options and accessibility to care for our community's heroes.

Our veterans represent the best that our nation has to offer.  I will continue to support legislation that ensures they have access to the services they deserve after their time in uniform.
