Deadline To Submit Art For Congressional Competition Quickly Approaching

Congressman's Office Accepting Submissions Until Next Wednesday

Rep. Steve Knight (CA-25) announced that his office will be accepting submissions for the 2017 Congressional Art Competition until Wednesday, April 26th.

The Congressional Art Competition is an annual nation-wide arts competition for high schoolers sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Students from the Simi, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys may submit their artwork at one of 4 offices throughout the 25th Congressional District. The competition is open to high school students that attend public or private schools, or are home schooled. 

The winner of this year’s Competition will receive complimentary airfare to Washington, D.C. for an unveiling ceremony this summer, where the artwork will be featured for an entire year. The student must reside in California’s 25th Congressional District and be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident. The winner will be announced on May 2nd at a reception held by KHTS Hometown Station at Fastframe in Valencia. The drop-off locations are as follows:
