On Friday afternoon, Rep. Knight made the following statement regarding the American Health Care Act:

“In the past two weeks my colleagues worked to build a consensus on how best to repair our flawed healthcare system and build a patient-centered system that works for the American people.  We learned that it is hard to find a consensus on something that impacts more than 1/6th of our economy and the lives of almost every American. The proposed legislation took many shapes, and throughout the entire process our goal has been to be as informed as possible in order to make a decision that would benefit the people of California’s 25th Congressional District.  I am thankful for the valuable input provided by so many constituents throughout the debate. As we now move on from this discussion, my commitment continues to be to provide solutions for our community, including creating jobs in aerospace, improving treatment for veterans, and increasing opportunities for small businesses.”
