Tele Town Hall
Last Monday we held another successful Telephone Town Hall with members of the community. While the conversation focused mostly on repairing the Affordable Care Act, we also talked about other important topics like executive orders and the F-35.   If you’d like to participate in our next tele town hall please sign up on my website here.

State of the Military
On Tuesday I participated in a House Armed Services Committee hearing about the state of the military, featuring Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army General Daniel B. Allyn, Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force General Stephen W. Wilson, Vice Chief of Naval Operations Admiral William F. Moran, and Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps General Glenn M. Walters. You can catch the whole thing here.

Touting Tours
It was a pleasure meeting the Gray family before their tour of the Capitol last week. I always appreciate getting to meet constituents visiting our nation’s capital. If you are visiting Washington and want to book a tour of the Capitol, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, or the White House, sign up here.
Thank you to the Gray family for stopping by my office

Hiring Freeze Letter
Last week I joined several of my colleagues in support of Majority Leader McCarthy’s letter to Secretary Mattis urging him to exempt civilian positions at Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratories (STRL) and Major Range and Test Facility Bases (MRTFB), from the President's hiring freeze. The freeze, which affects our community at Edwards Air Force Base, prevents these facilities from conducting mission-critical research, development, testing, and evaluation.
